Welcome MSN readers and thank you for taking the time to stop by to visit First Gen American. This is a quirky little personal finance blog that tells tales of my very industrious Polish immigrant mom. She is self described as “round like barrel” and she is a real character. People love hearing the crazy tales of how she rose above all kinds of hardships throughout her life. Here on the blog, people know her as “Babci.” This means grandma in Polish and is pronounced “Bahbchee”.
If you like this site, I would love it if you subscribed to my RSS feed. It’s that little yellow button in the top right corner of the blog, or you can enter your email on the right for email deliveries. I only write about 2 articles a week, so I promise I won’t clog your reader.
If you want to stay a little while, here are some of people’s favorite stories in no particular order. You can also look through the most Popular Posts on the right.
